Guillermo Mario Jiménez
pHILANTHROPY sERVICES OFFICER - MAJOR GIVING
B.A. Philosophy & Business Administration, Houghton College; M.A. International Development, Eastern University
I began working at Agros in April 2013, and took on the role of Senior Programs Officer in 2015.
In my current role, I act as the Seattle liason for the Nicaragua Regional Project and coordinate programs designed to engage our Seattle community in Agros' vision and mission. In the first half of my job, I coordinate all Regional Project activities between Seattle and Nicaragua, including managing detailed implementation plans. In the second half, I develop meaningful travel experiences that provide educational opportunities for donors to learn about rural poverty and issues specific to Central America and Agros, as well as to help develop a global community.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife (Anna) and son (Guillermo David), watching or playing soccer, reading, and exploring the outdoors.
Prior to working with Agros, I served as the International Experience Manager for The River Church Community in San Jose, CA, before returning home to Honduras, where I served as the Community Development Facilitator and later as the Advocacy Coordinator for World Vision Honduras. I also spent two years with Servant Partners in Honduras, leading community organizing efforts in Los Pinos, an urban slum of Tegucigalpa.
